An experienced entrepreneur, Ertan established his first business in 1994. During his professional career in the information technology industry in Switzerland he developed many high-profile systems, including the Euro Migration of Swiss Life Insurance Company, the Management Accounting System for UBS Group, and the conception and implementation of the Swiss Life Asset Management System.

After moving to Turkey, Ertan established the first PPP Waste Management and Waste-to-Energy project in Ankara and was involved in a real estate privatization program of the Turkish government that lead to his tenure as the Managing Partner of Taurus Istanbul.
